Victor Valley
Amateur Radio Club

Established in 1956, the Victor Valley ARC now celebrates fifty years of service in the high, Mojave Desert. Our membership is a diverse group of individuals, who gather in order to educate, communicate, and participate. If you have any interest in amateur radio, come celebrate with the most friendly, iconic, historic club in the High Desert- the VVARC. We want to see you there!

Events

Club By-law discussion and vote. Here is a copy of the proposed revised by-laws.  During the January meeting a discussion took place regarding the proposed revised by-laws and the subject was tabled until further revisions are made.

11 March 08 – 7pm Club meeting – Program scheduled is the WIN SYSTEM. Details on meeting location can be found below.

18 March 08 – 7pm Club Calendar Meeting – Any and all members are invited as we work out the details and dates of events for this year including field trips, camping, and hands on seminars.  Meeting to be held at the Green Tree Inn Coffee Shop

Meetings

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

at the Lewis Center for Educational Research, Mojave campus.

Directions: I-15 north or south to highway 18 east. East to Apple Valley road, turn south (right). South two blocks to Tuscola road. Turn west (right). West one block to Mana road, turn right. Follow Mana to the end of the road. Go through the gate and park to the left. The meeting is held in the library (large glass building)

ELMERS

An Elmer is kind of like a mentor for amateur radio operators. As new operators, we need the experience, knowledge, and guidance passed on to us by those that have been practicing for some time.

The VVARC Net

Remember that every Sunday at 7PM the Club conducts a Net on the 146.940 repeater PL 91.5.  Get the latest club announcements and reminders. Also, our Club needs volunteers to help run the Net. If you are interested, please contact us. In the event that the repeater is down, turn to 146.5350 simplex.
